JULY 15, 2009 - 2009 "it's you" Makeover photos are now available to view!
On May 31st, 2009, The Head Shoppe celebrated its second annual "it's you" makeover day and photo shoot to honor the 2009 winners of the "it's you" contest, family edition.
In 2007, The Head Shoppe launched its new look accompanied by the tag line “it’s you”, to represent the brand’s focus on its clients. Continuing with this focus 2008, The Head Shoppe launched a contest to encourage clients to share their experiences. Interested clients submitted a photo and short essay to be eligible to win a Makeover, Professional Photo shoot and $500 Gift card. Based on these entries, six clients were selected to win not only the aforementioned prize package, but were also featured in the 2008 ad campaign including bus and transit shelter advertisements throughout HRM.
The Head Shoppe brand has long stood for lasting relationships with its clients and often sees many members of the same family frequent the same location, even the same Stylist or Esthetician. To celebrate these clients, The Head Shoppe launched the “it’s you” Family Edition contest in February of 2009.
Three families were selected from over 30 applications to be the 2009 "it's you" winners. The winning families included The Turner family, clients of The Head Shoppe in Spryfield, The Robichaud family, clients of The Head Shoppe in New Minas and The Langille Family, clients of The Head Shoppe in Bedford.
The winning service providers included Tyson Thompson (Stylist), Joanne Darrah (Stylist/Franchise Owner) & Jill Kay (Esthetician) from The Head Shoppe in Spryfield, Kathy Alyward (Stylist) and Heather Baird (Esthetician) from The Head Shoppe in New Minas and Natasha Roche (Stylist) and Robin Gallant (Esthetician) from The Head Shoppe in Bedford.
These families were celebrated on Sunday, May 31st, 2009 in a makeover and photo shoot event held at The Head Shoppe in Spryfield. The families were treated to a new cut & color, manicure & make up application followed by a professional photo shoot. Each family also received a $500 gift card to take home.

It is a pleasure for us as a company to acknowledge both the winning clients and their service providers in an event of this nature.”
